A garbage disposal is one of the most convenient appliances in a modern kitchen. By grinding small amounts of food waste, it helps keep scraps out of the trash and makes cleanup after meals easier. However, like any plumbing fixture, a disposal can develop problems over time. When your unit stops working, leaks, jams, or produces unusual noises, professional service can help restore your kitchen’s functionality. Mr. Rooter Plumbing provides dependable plumbing solutions for homeowners who need garbage disposal repair, installation, or replacement in Pembroke.
Garbage disposals are designed to handle everyday food scraps, but certain items can cause trouble. Bones, fibrous vegetables, grease, large quantities of food, and other difficult materials may contribute to clogs or damage. A disposal that hums without grinding, drains slowly, leaks underneath the sink, or makes grinding or rattling sounds may need attention.
Some problems can be caused by a simple jam, while others may involve worn components, electrical issues, damaged seals, or problems with the connected drain line. Attempting to force a stuck disposal to operate can potentially make the problem worse. A qualified plumber in Pembroke, GA at Mr. Rooter Plumbing can inspect the unit and determine the appropriate solution.
When a disposal is malfunctioning, garbage disposal repair in Pembroke may be a practical option. Depending on the condition of the unit, a professional can identify the source of the problem and determine whether repairing the existing disposal makes sense.
Common issues can include leaks around connections, persistent clogs, unusual noises, failure to turn on, and poor grinding performance. Addressing these problems promptly can help prevent additional water damage or plumbing complications beneath the sink.
Josiah was our plumber from Mr. Rooter. He was the best! Not only did he arrive on time, he handled everything we needed to replace our kitchen faucets and some pipes in a timely manner. We held our dogs at bay outside; he assured us they, all 4 of them, would not be a problem since it was hot out back. We let them in and they fell in love with Josiah. We appreciate his care and concern for us seniors and will certainly request him again when we need a plumber. Donna and Jeff Youngblood
Made a call to request service for a leaking garbage disposal system. The phone line went down and I gave them a 1 star review thinking they dropped the call. It was just poor phone signal. They called back and apologized even though it was not their fault. (This just shows they are ready to give you good service.) They came and fixed my garbage disposal in no time. Good people. Great service. I thought I deleted my 1 start review. Apologies that it took sometime for me to make this update. Thank you Mr. Rooter.
Joe really helped me out! Had my whole house backing up and after snaking the drains through a toilet hole he determined the best course of action was the hydro blast the main line, which required a cleanout to be installed. He dug up the line, installed the cleanout, and blasted out the clog all in one day. Pricing was fair and they even honored my membership discount from some work I had done by Mr. Electric (also a Neighborly company) a couple years ago. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again if I have any other plumbing problems!
I had a water emergency over the Easter holiday, called several "24 hour" plumbers and none of them bothered to help me except ONE. Mr Rooter sent Josiah to repair my broken pipe and install a new HOSE bibb that caused the emergency. He was very professional and efficient, and got the repair completed quickly. While it cost more than a normal job, I was lucky to find him on short notice on a holiday. Thanks to Mr Rooter my Easter weekend wasn't a TOTAL WASH OUT!! (pun intended)
Felix and Will saved the day! (And our new old house.) I had a competitor company come out to help us with some seriously backed up plumbing. (They snaked one drain and then said the only solution was to reroute our plumbing to the main line, a 4-6k cost!). I called Mr. Rooter for a second opinion. They arrived exactly on time, listened to our issues, worked with our contractor who was there to help, and they were able to clear our entire home’s plumbing in a couple of hours and for less than $400! Felix and Will were polite, patient, and took extra time to make sure every drain in our house was working properly before they left. I’m so grateful. We will definitely keep getting our plumbing maintenanced by this crew. Thank you!!
These guys were johnny on the spot. I called late one day and they were here @08:00 the next day, very courteous very efficent took less than 1:45 min to do a job that the last crew did and did not botch the job, Josh Owens did a fantastic job i will call for him again if i need plumbing work. Oh and not to mention that mr rooter price was $100 less than the other guy.

Professional troubleshooting is especially useful when the cause is not immediately obvious. Rather than repeatedly resetting or attempting to disassemble the disposal yourself, having a plumber evaluate the system can provide a safer and more reliable approach.
Repair is not always the best solution. If a garbage disposal is several years old, frequently breaks down, has significant corrosion, or has suffered extensive internal damage, garbage disposal replacement in Pembroke may be more cost-effective.
A replacement can also provide an opportunity to select a unit that better matches your household's needs. Factors such as motor power, sink compatibility, noise level, and expected usage can all influence the appropriate disposal. A professional can help ensure the new unit is compatible with the existing plumbing and electrical setup.
Installing a new disposal involves more than simply attaching the appliance beneath the sink. The unit must be properly connected to the drain system, secured to the sink flange, and connected according to applicable electrical requirements.
Professional garbage disposal installation in Pembroke can help ensure that the appliance is installed correctly and operates as intended. Proper installation can also reduce the likelihood of leaks, loose connections, drainage problems, and other issues that may occur when a disposal is incorrectly fitted.
Whether you need a quick repair or are considering a complete replacement, getting the problem evaluated by a professional can save time and prevent unnecessary complications. Mr. Rooter Plumbing can provide assistance with garbage disposal replacement, garbage disposal installation, and garbage disposal repair.
If your disposal is leaking, jammed, unusually noisy, or no longer working properly, contact Mr. Rooter Plumbing to discuss your options. Professional plumbing service can help you get your kitchen disposal working properly again while keeping your sink's plumbing system in good condition.

The average lifespan of a water heater is 8 to 12 years. Maintenance tasks like flushing your tank and checking the anode rod will help to extend its life.
If you smell any gas near your water heater, it’s important to leave the area immediately and contact your emergency services and your gas company. Don't try to fix a gas leak on your own, because it can be extremely dangerous.
