A leaking faucet is often due to worn-out washers, O-rings, or seals within the faucet assembly. While these issues can usually be fixed with simple repairs, ignoring them can lead to higher water bills and further damage over time.

Recurring drain clogs can be more than a minor inconvenience. When grease, sludge, mineral deposits, and other debris accumulate inside plumbing pipes, water may begin draining slowly or backing up repeatedly. If conventional drain cleaning only provides temporary relief, hydro jetting may offer a more thorough way to clean the plumbing system.
For property owners considering hydro jetting in Wilmington Island, understanding how the process works and when it may be appropriate can help you make an informed decision about your plumbing maintenance.
Hydro jetting is a professional plumbing technique that uses highly pressurized water to clean the interior of pipes. Specialized equipment sends streams of water through the plumbing line, breaking apart buildup and flushing debris away.
Rather than simply creating an opening through a blockage, hydro jetting is designed to clean the walls of the pipe. This can make it particularly useful for lines affected by substantial grease, sludge, sediment, or other accumulated materials.
Everyday use can gradually introduce materials into your drains. Kitchen plumbing may accumulate grease, fats, oils, and food residue, while bathroom drains can collect hair, soap residue, and other debris. Mineral deposits can also build up inside pipes over time, reducing the available space for water to flow. In underground sewer lines, tree roots may sometimes enter through cracks, joints, or damaged sections.
Josiah was our plumber from Mr. Rooter. He was the best! Not only did he arrive on time, he handled everything we needed to replace our kitchen faucets and some pipes in a timely manner. We held our dogs at bay outside; he assured us they, all 4 of them, would not be a problem since it was hot out back. We let them in and they fell in love with Josiah. We appreciate his care and concern for us seniors and will certainly request him again when we need a plumber. Donna and Jeff Youngblood
Made a call to request service for a leaking garbage disposal system. The phone line went down and I gave them a 1 star review thinking they dropped the call. It was just poor phone signal. They called back and apologized even though it was not their fault. (This just shows they are ready to give you good service.) They came and fixed my garbage disposal in no time. Good people. Great service. I thought I deleted my 1 start review. Apologies that it took sometime for me to make this update. Thank you Mr. Rooter.
Joe really helped me out! Had my whole house backing up and after snaking the drains through a toilet hole he determined the best course of action was the hydro blast the main line, which required a cleanout to be installed. He dug up the line, installed the cleanout, and blasted out the clog all in one day. Pricing was fair and they even honored my membership discount from some work I had done by Mr. Electric (also a Neighborly company) a couple years ago. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again if I have any other plumbing problems!
I had a water emergency over the Easter holiday, called several "24 hour" plumbers and none of them bothered to help me except ONE. Mr Rooter sent Josiah to repair my broken pipe and install a new HOSE bibb that caused the emergency. He was very professional and efficient, and got the repair completed quickly. While it cost more than a normal job, I was lucky to find him on short notice on a holiday. Thanks to Mr Rooter my Easter weekend wasn't a TOTAL WASH OUT!! (pun intended)
Felix and Will saved the day! (And our new old house.) I had a competitor company come out to help us with some seriously backed up plumbing. (They snaked one drain and then said the only solution was to reroute our plumbing to the main line, a 4-6k cost!). I called Mr. Rooter for a second opinion. They arrived exactly on time, listened to our issues, worked with our contractor who was there to help, and they were able to clear our entire home’s plumbing in a couple of hours and for less than $400! Felix and Will were polite, patient, and took extra time to make sure every drain in our house was working properly before they left. I’m so grateful. We will definitely keep getting our plumbing maintenanced by this crew. Thank you!!
These guys were johnny on the spot. I called late one day and they were here @08:00 the next day, very courteous very efficent took less than 1:45 min to do a job that the last crew did and did not botch the job, Josh Owens did a fantastic job i will call for him again if i need plumbing work. Oh and not to mention that mr rooter price was $100 less than the other guy.

When buildup becomes substantial, you may notice slow drains, recurring clogs, unpleasant odors, or water backing up into fixtures. These symptoms can indicate that a deeper plumbing problem needs professional attention.
Hydro jetting can be particularly useful when clogs repeatedly return or when significant buildup is suspected inside a plumbing line. If a drain has been cleared multiple times but continues to slow down, there may be material accumulating along the interior walls of the pipe.
Hydro jetting may also be considered as part of preventative plumbing maintenance for certain systems. Regular professional cleaning can help remove buildup before it becomes a severe obstruction. However, hydro jetting is not appropriate for every situation. Pipes that are severely damaged, deteriorated, or structurally compromised may require another solution. A professional inspection should be performed before high-pressure cleaning begins.
Traditional drain cleaning methods can be effective for many individual clogs. Depending on the method used, however, they may focus primarily on removing or breaking through the obstruction.
Hydro jetting takes a different approach by using pressurized water to clean the pipe's interior. It can remove buildup from the walls and flush loosened debris through the plumbing system.
The best method depends on the type of blockage, the condition of the pipes, and the overall plumbing configuration. A professional plumber at Mr. Rooter Plumbing can determine which approach makes the most sense.
Because hydro jetting equipment operates at high pressure, professional service is important. A plumber can inspect the plumbing system, identify the source of recurring drainage problems, and determine whether the pipes can safely withstand the process.
If hydro jetting is appropriate, the technician can use specialized equipment and a nozzle designed for the specific plumbing line. This allows the water to reach areas where ordinary drain cleaning may not provide sufficient cleaning.
Recurring clogs should not always be treated as isolated problems. They may indicate that buildup is developing deeper inside your plumbing system. If you are experiencing repeated backups, slow drains, or other drainage issues, contact a professional for an evaluation. When appropriate, hydro jetting can provide a powerful cleaning method for removing stubborn buildup and improving water flow.
Professional hydro jetting in Wilmington Island can help property owners address persistent plumbing problems while supporting the long-term maintenance of their drainage system.

The average lifespan of a water heater is 8 to 12 years. Maintenance tasks like flushing your tank and checking the anode rod will help to extend its life.
If you smell any gas near your water heater, it’s important to leave the area immediately and contact your emergency services and your gas company. Don't try to fix a gas leak on your own, because it can be extremely dangerous.
To ensure your sump pump is functioning, test it by pouring some water into the sump pit. The pump should activate and remove the water. Regular maintenance checks, especially before rainy seasons, can prevent malfunctions when you need the pump most.
