Reliable Plumber in Bloomingdale, GA

Whether it's a sudden leak in the middle of the night or a persistent drip that’s been nagging you for weeks, having a reliable plumber in Bloomingdale, Georgia, is essential. At Mr. Rooter Plumbing, we know that every drop counts, and we're here to provide dependable plumbing services for local residential and commercial properties.

The Impact of Water Quality on Your Plumbing

Hard water contains higher amounts of minerals. Over time, these substances can build up in your pipes, reducing water flow and causing your plumbing fixtures to wear out faster. This mineral buildup, known as scale, can lead to clogged drains, decreased efficiency of appliances, and even emergency plumbing repair in Bloomingdale. A water softener or whole-house filtration system can reduce the impact of hard water on your pipes and extend the life of your plumbing system. If you’re noticing reduced water pressure, soap that doesn’t lather well, or spots on dishes and glassware, it might be time to call plumbers in Bloomingdale about your water quality concerns.

The Importance of Proper Drainage Around Your Home

Whether it’s from an unexpected downpour or irrigation runoff, poor drainage around your home can lead to a variety of serious issues, including foundation damage, mold growth, and flooded basements or crawl spaces. Making sure that your property has proper drainage systems, such as French drains, downspout extensions, or sump pumps, can prevent these problems from occurring. A plumbing service in Bloomingdale can provide solutions that keep water away from your foundation. For commercial properties, proper drainage is just as critical because standing water can lead to safety hazards and future repairs. Don’t wait for water damage to occur before addressing drainage issues.

How to Maintain Outdoor Plumbing Fixtures

Outdoor plumbing fixtures, like hose bibs, sprinkler systems, and pool equipment, are essential for maintaining your property, but they often don’t get the attention they need until something goes wrong. Regular maintenance of outdoor plumbing can prevent leaks, water waste, and damage to your landscaping. One aspect of maintaining outdoor plumbing is winterizing your fixtures. Even in milder climates, a sudden freeze can cause outdoor pipes to burst. Disconnect hoses, drain sprinkler systems, and insulate any exposed pipes to protect them from the cold. If you’re unsure how to properly care for your outdoor plumbing fixtures, a quick consultation with a plumber in Bloomingdale can provide you with the guidance you need.

Why You Shouldn’t Ignore a Running Toilet

The most common causes of a running toilet include a faulty flapper, a worn-out fill valve, or improperly adjusted float arms. While these issues are generally easy to fix, ignoring them can lead to more trouble in the future, such as water damage or the need for a premature toilet replacement. For commercial properties, a running toilet can affect multiple restrooms, amplifying the problem and potentially leading to customer complaints. So, if you notice your toilet running, don’t wait. Get it fixed right away to keep your plumbing system in great shape.

Reviews

Josiah was our plumber from Mr. Rooter. He was the best! Not only did he arrive on time, he handled everything we needed to replace our kitchen faucets and some pipes in a timely manner. We held our dogs at bay outside; he assured us they, all 4 of them, would not be a problem since it was hot out back. We let them in and they fell in love with Josiah. We appreciate his care and concern for us seniors and will certainly request him again when we need a plumber. Donna and Jeff Youngblood

Made a call to request service for a leaking garbage disposal system. The phone line went down and I gave them a 1 star review thinking they dropped the call. It was just poor phone signal. They called back and apologized even though it was not their fault. (This just shows they are ready to give you good service.) They came and fixed my garbage disposal in no time. Good people. Great service. I thought I deleted my 1 start review. Apologies that it took sometime for me to make this update. Thank you Mr. Rooter.

Joe really helped me out! Had my whole house backing up and after snaking the drains through a toilet hole he determined the best course of action was the hydro blast the main line, which required a cleanout to be installed. He dug up the line, installed the cleanout, and blasted out the clog all in one day. Pricing was fair and they even honored my membership discount from some work I had done by Mr. Electric (also a Neighborly company) a couple years ago. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again if I have any other plumbing problems!

I had a water emergency over the Easter holiday, called several "24 hour" plumbers and none of them bothered to help me except ONE. Mr Rooter sent Josiah to repair my broken pipe and install a new HOSE bibb that caused the emergency. He was very professional and efficient, and got the repair completed quickly. While it cost more than a normal job, I was lucky to find him on short notice on a holiday. Thanks to Mr Rooter my Easter weekend wasn't a TOTAL WASH OUT!! (pun intended)

Felix and Will saved the day! (And our new old house.) I had a competitor company come out to help us with some seriously backed up plumbing. (They snaked one drain and then said the only solution was to reroute our plumbing to the main line, a 4-6k cost!). I called Mr. Rooter for a second opinion. They arrived exactly on time, listened to our issues, worked with our contractor who was there to help, and they were able to clear our entire home’s plumbing in a couple of hours and for less than $400! Felix and Will were polite, patient, and took extra time to make sure every drain in our house was working properly before they left. I’m so grateful. We will definitely keep getting our plumbing maintenanced by this crew. Thank you!!

Frequently Asked Question

At Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Savannah, we understand that you may have questions about our services or how your plumbing system works. Here are some common questions we have been asked:

Why is my faucet leaking?

A leaking faucet is often due to worn-out washers, O-rings, or seals within the faucet assembly. While these issues can usually be fixed with simple repairs, ignoring them can lead to higher water bills and further damage over time.

How long do water heaters typically last?

The average lifespan of a water heater is 8 to 12 years. Maintenance tasks like flushing your tank and checking the anode rod will help to extend its life.

What should I do if I smell some gas near my water heater?

If you smell any gas near your water heater, it’s important to leave the area immediately and contact your emergency services and your gas company. Don't try to fix a gas leak on your own, because it can be extremely dangerous.

How do I know if my sump pump is working properly?

To ensure your sump pump is functioning, test it by pouring some water into the sump pit. The pump should activate and remove the water. Regular maintenance checks, especially before rainy seasons, can prevent malfunctions when you need the pump most.

Are there any benefits to routine drain cleaning?

Regular drain cleaning prevents clogs, reduces foul odors, and maintains the health of your plumbing system. It can also extend the lifespan of your pipes and help prevent unexpected plumbing emergencies.
