Sewer Repair in Pooler, GA

Sewer Repair in Pooler, GA

Unlike the faucets, sinks, and toilets that we deal with practically every day, the sewer line installation is out of sight and out of mind for the usual property owner. It turns out, however, that this piping is more important than all of those fixtures and routine maintenance is essential.

If you’re noticing slow drainage in multiple drains and sinks, for instance, then chances are your sewer line is narrowing due to a blockage or bellying. A quick sewer line cleaning can have your drains flowing seamlessly again.

Sewer Repair in Pooler, GA

Whether you need a quick cleaning, emergency repair, or a complete sewer line replacement in Pooler, GA, the uniformed and experienced plumbers at Mr. Rooter Plumbing are here to help. Call or message us today to get in touch!

Where is the Sewer Line?

The sewer line is typically buried a couple of feet underground and runs from the building to the connection point with the public sewer system or your on-site septic tank. In most cases, the sewer line is inaccessible and hidden from view. As such, many people forget that it’s even there.

The precise location of the sewer line can vary depending on factors such as the property layout, local regulations, and utility easements. You can usually locate the sewer line's general path by referring to plumbing blueprints, property surveys, or by contacting your local utility providers for assistance.

Reviews

Josiah was our plumber from Mr. Rooter. He was the best! Not only did he arrive on time, he handled everything we needed to replace our kitchen faucets and some pipes in a timely manner. We held our dogs at bay outside; he assured us they, all 4 of them, would not be a problem since it was hot out back. We let them in and they fell in love with Josiah. We appreciate his care and concern for us seniors and will certainly request him again when we need a plumber. Donna and Jeff Youngblood

Made a call to request service for a leaking garbage disposal system. The phone line went down and I gave them a 1 star review thinking they dropped the call. It was just poor phone signal. They called back and apologized even though it was not their fault. (This just shows they are ready to give you good service.) They came and fixed my garbage disposal in no time. Good people. Great service. I thought I deleted my 1 start review. Apologies that it took sometime for me to make this update. Thank you Mr. Rooter.

Joe really helped me out! Had my whole house backing up and after snaking the drains through a toilet hole he determined the best course of action was the hydro blast the main line, which required a cleanout to be installed. He dug up the line, installed the cleanout, and blasted out the clog all in one day. Pricing was fair and they even honored my membership discount from some work I had done by Mr. Electric (also a Neighborly company) a couple years ago. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again if I have any other plumbing problems!

I had a water emergency over the Easter holiday, called several "24 hour" plumbers and none of them bothered to help me except ONE. Mr Rooter sent Josiah to repair my broken pipe and install a new HOSE bibb that caused the emergency. He was very professional and efficient, and got the repair completed quickly. While it cost more than a normal job, I was lucky to find him on short notice on a holiday. Thanks to Mr Rooter my Easter weekend wasn't a TOTAL WASH OUT!! (pun intended)

Felix and Will saved the day! (And our new old house.) I had a competitor company come out to help us with some seriously backed up plumbing. (They snaked one drain and then said the only solution was to reroute our plumbing to the main line, a 4-6k cost!). I called Mr. Rooter for a second opinion. They arrived exactly on time, listened to our issues, worked with our contractor who was there to help, and they were able to clear our entire home’s plumbing in a couple of hours and for less than $400! Felix and Will were polite, patient, and took extra time to make sure every drain in our house was working properly before they left. I’m so grateful. We will definitely keep getting our plumbing maintenanced by this crew. Thank you!!

Taking Care of the Sewer Line

The sewer line is a simple piece of plumbing responsible for readily removing waste and wastewater from the property. As reliable as it is, however, the sewer line will need a hand every now and then.

Most importantly, be careful about what you allow in the toilets, sinks, and drains. Non-biodegradables, used fats, oils, and greases, and harsh chemicals are just some of the things that can harm your sewer line.

Installing and regularly cleaning drain screens as well as scheduling periodic sewer line cleaning can go a long way in keeping the sewer line clear. Mr. Rooter employs hydro jetting drain cleaning for safe and thorough results.

You should also avoid parking on or driving over the sewer line. Also refrain from installing structures on or near the sewer line. When planting shrubs and trees, remember that invasive tree roots can penetrate the sewer pipe in their search for water.

When to Request Sewer Repair

Sewer repair in Pooler, GA is not something you’ll need often if you’re keeping up with routine maintenance and mindfully using your drain system, but it’s something to keep in mind. It might be time to ring a plumber if you notice the following signs of trouble:

  • Slow drainage in MULTIPLE drains, sinks, and toilets.
  • Wastewater and/or sewage backups in MULTIPLE drains, sinks, and toilets.
  • Smell of sewage in the yard.
  • Patches of overly lush and green grass out in the yard.
  • Rancid puddles or soggy soil in the yard despite no rainfall.
  • Pest and rodent infestations.

Ignoring these issues can allow problems to spiral into disasters. Plus, plumbing repair in Pooler, GA is quick and affordable when you choose Mr. Rooter Plumbing.

Consider Our Minimally Invasive Repairs & Replacements

Property owners shudder at the thought of having their yard torn apart for a sewer line repair or replacement, but there’s no reason to worry when you choose Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Pipe lining and pipe bursting are two of our minimally invasive approaches to repairing and/or replacing sewer lines. Frequently Asked Question

At Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Savannah, we understand that you may have questions about our services or how your plumbing system works. Here are some common questions we have been asked:

Why is my faucet leaking?

A leaking faucet is often due to worn-out washers, O-rings, or seals within the faucet assembly. While these issues can usually be fixed with simple repairs, ignoring them can lead to higher water bills and further damage over time.

How long do water heaters typically last?

The average lifespan of a water heater is 8 to 12 years. Maintenance tasks like flushing your tank and checking the anode rod will help to extend its life.

What should I do if I smell some gas near my water heater?

If you smell any gas near your water heater, it’s important to leave the area immediately and contact your emergency services and your gas company. Don't try to fix a gas leak on your own, because it can be extremely dangerous.

How do I know if my sump pump is working properly?

To ensure your sump pump is functioning, test it by pouring some water into the sump pit. The pump should activate and remove the water. Regular maintenance checks, especially before rainy seasons, can prevent malfunctions when you need the pump most.

Are there any benefits to routine drain cleaning?

Regular drain cleaning prevents clogs, reduces foul odors, and maintains the health of your plumbing system. It can also extend the lifespan of your pipes and help prevent unexpected plumbing emergencies.
