As a property owner, maintaining a functioning and efficient sewer system is vital for a safe and clean home. However, detecting signs of deterioration can be challenging, especially if you don’t have the knowledge or experience required. At Mr. Rooter Plumbing, we leverage extensive knowledge to pinpoint telltale signs of damage early, providing quality sewer repair services to restore comfort and functionality to your home. Here are the telltale signs you need sewer repair in Port Wentworth to help you make informed decisions.
If your sinks, showers, or toilets frequently clog despite regular sewer line cleaning sessions, it shows an underlying problem. Some common culprits include debris, grease, or tree roots obstructing the pipe, causing recurring blockages. While you can fix isolated clogs with a plunger or drain cleaner, recurring issues across multiple drains show a deeper problem requiring the expertise of sewer repair professionals.
Slow drainage is often one of the first signs you need sewer repair in Port Wentworth. When water takes longer than usual to flow down your sink or tub, there’s a partial blockage in sewer pipe. Ignoring this issue causes backups, leaks, and costly sewer line installation emergencies. Once you notice slow wastewater flow, call a plumber to inspect, diagnose, and address the problem. In case of severe damage, investing in trenchless sewer line replacement can ensure long-term benefits without breaking the bank.
A foul smell from your drains, basement, or yard is another sign you need sewer line cleaning and maintenance. Your sewer pipes transport wastewater away from your home while concealing odors. If you notice a persistent sewage smell, it’s a sign of a leak or crack in the pipe that needs immediate attention. If the leak is small, minor repairs can restore indoor air quality. However, severe damage may require trenchless sewer line replacement services to prevent recurrences.
Another indicator you need sewer repair in Port Wentworth is gurgling sounds in your drains. While it is unusual to hear noises from your drains following a sewer line installation, over time, running water can cause trapped air in your sewer pipes to produce noises. This often occurs when a blockage is preventing wastewater from flowing freely, causing air pockets to form. If you hear weird sounds from your drains, call a trusted sewer repair service to prevent further plumbing problems.
Josiah was our plumber from Mr. Rooter. He was the best! Not only did he arrive on time, he handled everything we needed to replace our kitchen faucets and some pipes in a timely manner. We held our dogs at bay outside; he assured us they, all 4 of them, would not be a problem since it was hot out back. We let them in and they fell in love with Josiah. We appreciate his care and concern for us seniors and will certainly request him again when we need a plumber. Donna and Jeff Youngblood
Made a call to request service for a leaking garbage disposal system. The phone line went down and I gave them a 1 star review thinking they dropped the call. It was just poor phone signal. They called back and apologized even though it was not their fault. (This just shows they are ready to give you good service.) They came and fixed my garbage disposal in no time. Good people. Great service. I thought I deleted my 1 start review. Apologies that it took sometime for me to make this update. Thank you Mr. Rooter.
Joe really helped me out! Had my whole house backing up and after snaking the drains through a toilet hole he determined the best course of action was the hydro blast the main line, which required a cleanout to be installed. He dug up the line, installed the cleanout, and blasted out the clog all in one day. Pricing was fair and they even honored my membership discount from some work I had done by Mr. Electric (also a Neighborly company) a couple years ago. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter again if I have any other plumbing problems!
I had a water emergency over the Easter holiday, called several "24 hour" plumbers and none of them bothered to help me except ONE. Mr Rooter sent Josiah to repair my broken pipe and install a new HOSE bibb that caused the emergency. He was very professional and efficient, and got the repair completed quickly. While it cost more than a normal job, I was lucky to find him on short notice on a holiday. Thanks to Mr Rooter my Easter weekend wasn't a TOTAL WASH OUT!! (pun intended)
Felix and Will saved the day! (And our new old house.) I had a competitor company come out to help us with some seriously backed up plumbing. (They snaked one drain and then said the only solution was to reroute our plumbing to the main line, a 4-6k cost!). I called Mr. Rooter for a second opinion. They arrived exactly on time, listened to our issues, worked with our contractor who was there to help, and they were able to clear our entire home’s plumbing in a couple of hours and for less than $400! Felix and Will were polite, patient, and took extra time to make sure every drain in our house was working properly before they left. I’m so grateful. We will definitely keep getting our plumbing maintenanced by this crew. Thank you!!
These guys were johnny on the spot. I called late one day and they were here @08:00 the next day, very courteous very efficent took less than 1:45 min to do a job that the last crew did and did not botch the job, Josh Owens did a fantastic job i will call for him again if i need plumbing work. Oh and not to mention that mr rooter price was $100 less than the other guy.

At Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Savannah, we understand that you may have questions about our services or how your plumbing system works. Here are some common questions we have been asked:
A leaking faucet is often due to worn-out washers, O-rings, or seals within the faucet assembly. While these issues can usually be fixed with simple repairs, ignoring them can lead to higher water bills and further damage over time.
The average lifespan of a water heater is 8 to 12 years. Maintenance tasks like flushing your tank and checking the anode rod will help to extend its life.
If you smell any gas near your water heater, it’s important to leave the area immediately and contact your emergency services and your gas company. Don't try to fix a gas leak on your own, because it can be extremely dangerous.
To ensure your sump pump is functioning, test it by pouring some water into the sump pit. The pump should activate and remove the water. Regular maintenance checks, especially before rainy seasons, can prevent malfunctions when you need the pump most.
Regular drain cleaning prevents clogs, reduces foul odors, and maintains the health of your plumbing system. It can also extend the lifespan of your pipes and help prevent unexpected plumbing emergencies.
